I guess we'll finally get to hear "Love is Everywhere' live!

That's exactly what I was thinking! And with the orchestra? Will Tim really consider it?

^ Haha, exactly! I'm looking forward to the rarities, but it will be nice to hear my favourites too, esp "Laugh In Their Faces".

I am soooo happy and looking forward to these gigs! Am going to the ones in Adelaide and one SSO show in December, and if they announce any Brisbane dates I will probably go to those too. I don't think I could resist a gig at The Zoo.

I'm so sad that they haven't announced a show for Brisbane on this tour. I'm strongly considering going to Sydney to see it, but I don't know if I'll be able to afford it! What are the chances of them coming to Brisbane?

They have done 1-2 shows in Brisbane every year for awhile now, so personally I am going to wait and see if anything comes up. Maybe not an orchestra performance, but I would guess that one or two gigs might happen, depending on their schedule. So cross your fingers. :D

Hey, I e-mailed The Zoo and they said that they are unaware of any plans of Tim and the boys coming to Brisbane, but they heard through the grapevine that they may play a festival near Nambour later in the year--I REALLY hope this means that Caloundra Music Festival, cos that gig was bloody awesome last year. :D All of this said, it may be that they just haven't organised anything here yet and it might happen... so I don't know!

How good Beno? :P
Ended up getting a decent box seat for the first night and a row E stall seat for the final (figure its best to get a good seat for the last show rather than the first, they've had more practice that way :D ).

I'm disappointed too that there's no shows scheduled for Brisbane for the rest of the year so far. This was going to be the year that NOTHING was going to stop me finally getting to a gig at The Zoo.
I'm heartened however by the rumour that they could be appearing at The Caloundra Music Festival. I certainly put in a request for The Whitlams to appear in 2009 when they asked for suggestions (I also sugggested The Badloves too as they're yet to do a show in Qld since they've reformed). The site link is http://www.caloundramusicfestival.com.au/ and they will start announcing the line up from 1st July.

Yeah I requested them too! :D Wrote them a long e-mail about how I stood in the front row for two and a half hours waiting for them to come on, and didn't even leave to get a drink cos I didn't want to lose my spot and almost passed out. "But it was an AWESOME gig! Please bring them back this year!" haha

I am not 100% sure which row, but all I know is that I am further up the front than I was in '07, and am in the centre. I was also in the centre in '07 and I think that was row k (about 20metres from Tim) and I think I am row J this time around, but will check next time I am home... Can't wait, I am lucky because i was going to Vietnam in december but coincidently I had it moved to these holidays a few days before the shows were annoucned... Lucky lucky me :D.

Ditto, i'm planning to go to the eastern states at the end of this year with a friend, and originally we planned to go a week earlier then we are and start in Sydney before going elsewhere...a week before these shows were announced, we changed the trip, moving it one week forward and starting up in the Gold Coast first, before making our way down the coast...and letting us be in Sydney in time for the Eternal Nightcap shows :D
I'm so looking forward to it...i get to see one of my favourite bands in there home town, in one of Australia's most iconic landmarks...what a cool thing to do on a trip...lets me send pictures of me outside the opera house to my rellies in England and who think everything in Australia is awesome!

Good call with Charlie #1. I remember them opening with it once (somewhere around 2001) and it still is the best opener I have seen!

I'm guessing if they stay true to form, they will be playing Tangled Up in Blue and Where's the Enemy?... wonder how these might turn out? maybe an appearance from Tim Hall?
